Makeup is wonderful for illusions. Take advantage of these opportunities and try different things on yourself. You can use eyeliner and shadow to create different shapes and looks for your eyes. If you want to make your eyes look bigger you want to create a bright more open illusion so using colors that bring light to your eyes is key.
You can enhance this look by adding color above your iris in the crease of your eyelid. The contrast of adding color behind your iris and the brightening of the lighter color on the lid will bring light to your eyes. Another illusion to try is to make your eyes look more oval shaped. Eyeliner is a good tool for this look. By using eyeliner from the center of your eyelid out to the corner of the eye, and extend a little further and end with an upward angle.
Finish up by lining the lower eyelid from the outside edge of the pupil and ending at the outer corner of your eye. This will draw attention outwards from the center. You can also add shading in the outside corner of your eye and add a lighter shade to the inner corner of the eye.
