Everyone has had a blemish this can be a cut, zit, pimple, blackhead, whitehead - whatever you want to call it they are all things that we experience and they are not fun. I am going to use the term blemishes for consistency sake.
There is no natural way around covering blemishes. Yes there are ways to be preventative, such as drinking tons of water as it will moisten your skin and help it become clearer. Sunlight can help as well as eating a diet of less processed, more organic foods.
The other day for example, I felt like a unicorn as I had a blemish in the dead center of my forehead. I wanted to walk around with a sign that said “horn growing…be aware” but of course we know that is not possible.
So basically using a concealer that is a tone lighter than you skin primarily and then using foundation on top of that should do the trick. It works the best if you exfoliate and moisturize your face first, getting rid of the flaky dry skin surrounding a blemish. This also creates a smooth, less attention drawing surface. Also by applying a shimmer on your face (not just on the blemish) - it can have reflective properties and make the redness less noticeable.
