I recently went on a trip up the California coast and my eyes were opened to a whole new world. I was born and raised in a mountain town but was always very into fashion and beauty. In San Diego, where I live now, the fashion and beauty scene is high end. People are very on top of it and in tuned with the latest and greatest brands, tools, styles, etc.
Being in Northern California I could see that most women there were very natural. They wore minimal amounts of makeup and most of the colors were neutral. I found myself adapting by just using my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer with mascara. It was actually refreshing being natural and using a few less makeup items than normal. Also my skin seemed to love it as I was glowing with healthiness. It just made me realize that we need to give our skin a break once in a while too. Try it during a weekend or next time you are lounging around, its well worth it. You might even notice that you do not need as much makeup as you thought.
