Natural is better when you are out in the sun. This is mostly because you want to maintain a uniform natural looking color all over your body – rather than having awkward tan lines. Moisturizer with SPF is the best and if you still want blemish coverage you can apply a tinted moisturizer. Laura Mercier has a Tinted Moisturizer which is a a face lotion that is tinted to your skin color, providing the light coverage that is needed for a day in the sun. Also the product has SPF 20 which is just enough to let you get some coverage as well as the color you want to get from those sun rays. This is a good product but anything similar or light will do the trick as well. Or you can apply your moisturizer or sunscreen and then your blemish coverage whether its a foundation or concealer, remember, less is better.
For the eyes brown or black mascara is definitely appropriate. If you plan on going in the water waterproof is recommended. If you want more, try lining your upper lash line with a thin layer of brown eyeliner. This is subtle and will also get that extra bit of glam in your Beach Look.
Lastly, the Beach Look is complete when you apply tinted gloss in a light seashell beige or pink color.
Have Fun in the Sun!
